KoAloha Ukulele Hawaii

Juke-A-Lele Tenor Ukulele

As America was rebuilding itself after 9/11, I spent countless hours thinking of ways that we could lift one another’s spirits.  There was a strong need for patriotism and national pride.  My thoughts took me back to the days when the country was growing, Made in the USA meant quality, and the music was changing the world.  People would gather around the jukebox to sing, dance and share a soda.  Taking inspiration from the past, the third edition of my Masterpiece Collection was born, the KoAloha Juke-A-Lele.  Modeled after a vintage 1950’s Jukebox, this new edition is reminiscent of a time when feelings were good and people came together.
The Juke-A-Lele’s volume is simply amazing.  There are many tricks that I have built into the design that allows it to ring loudly with clarity and sustain.  It is the loudest ukulele that I have made to date.  I am making 2 different models, the Hawaiian and the American.  In the image of a vintage Jukebox, each ukulele features intricately cut pieces of wood that ornament the soundboard.  The soundboard is spruce while the sides, back and fingerboard are Hawaiian Koa.  The Juke-A-Lele officially introduced the double crown bridge design, a design that will become more prominent in our ukulele in the days to come.  Both the Hawaiian and American models are tenor scale and available in 4 or 6 strings.
