I like the looks of this better on paper better than the recent bow tie model. Saw the bow tie model in person and thought it looked too simplistic and bland. Hope this looks as nice in person and is functionally sound as well.

Who says an "ordinary plank of koa" is boring? Maybe I be a bit loco, but it's waaaay more interesting than anything on tv. Looking forward to the rest of your series.

I am the friend Tom Noble is referring to. I have the soprano with the tenor neck that sings (as well as a Pineapple Sunday) and it is a prize ukulele. The sound is comparable to the Sunday but slightly different enough to provide variety.

Makes a lot of sense to me, if you tune it to GCEA. The soprano body is plenty big enough to handle the lowest note. So why not give yourself a bit more finger room? It would make a great travel uke for someone who usually plays tenor, especially if it comes with a custom case or padded gig bag. With the smaller body size, it'd be easy to throw it in the car, or sling it on your back, and take it everywhere.

Hi Veronique!

I've been really wanting one to display at my place too. It's too bad that Papa KoAloha doesn't make these any more. I'm actually hoping he finishes off his master piece line with this mini uke.

If he decides to ever make these again, I will definitely make the announcement on our website. So keep in touch.
